I’m Shanice Chante, the Owner and Creator of PaintxTrappin. This brand represents ART, LIFE, plus the HUSTLE. The words “Trap” or “Hustle” could be deciphered into many meanings. Yet for me, it means using my GIFT  to provide a better life for the ones I love. I’m creating. I’m hustling. I’m PaintxTrappin. 

With my work, I like to incorporate bold lines, rich colors, and a nostalgic feel. I like to mix my hand drawn images with a bold, graphic design. 

I take pride in creating for myself and others. We all have passions and talents that we can prosper from. Art was always my hustle and I intend to use it as a platform to make a better life for myself and the ones around me. I’m “Trappin” for a purpose. I want to see us ALL win.

In 2015, I started out by hand painting on clothing and canvases for myself and others. Eventually, I began to teach myself how to create art by graphic design. I’m proud to be a self-taught artist and I’m very appreciative of my growth. If it wasn’t for my love of art and the willingness to grow, I wouldn’t be the artist that I am today.

I was raised around the ORIGINAL works of Keith Haring, one of my favorite artists of all time. He was a great friend to our family and the partner of my late uncle, Juan Debose. I'm so grateful that I've got to experience his work first hand and his work means so much to me. He is the reason why I wanted to become an artist at an early age.

I want to thank everyone who has ever bought, shared or liked any of my work. I still consider myself a developing artist that is still tweaking her style. My skills have developed a lot over years; and I thank everyone that's shown love from the start. Thank you.
